Improvement(4)
- Website and search results now describe LabTools as one platform on desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux), web and iPhone (beta) with one account, instead of only "LabTools Desktop"
- Lab presentation schedule: moving a presentation to another date or time tells the team in LabTools (the notice opens the team page)
- Calendar: team meetings with a LabTools video call carry their meeting link on your personal calendar too, including lab-rota presentations whose team event has a call
- Website search and AI-assistant visibility (website side; needs a website redeploy): every public page has its own title, description and www canonical, a real social preview image, and a sitemap with true last-changed dates; /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt describe LabTools for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and other assistants from the same facts the pages use; robots.txt welcomes the AI crawlers and no longer blocks the files Google needs to render pages; sign-in, account, checkout and other private pages are kept out of search results
Fix(2)
- Website Download, FiTrace and Changelog pages were blank to search engines and AI assistants (their content appeared only after JavaScript ran); they now render in the page itself, and the Download page states the supported platforms
- Website Help Center and home page FAQ answered with things LabTools does not do (paid plans, academic discounts, a 100 MB trial, Python/R on a compute cluster, SOC 2 compliance, AWS hosting, Benchling integration); both now give the real answers (free, early-access download password, Windows/macOS/Linux, statistics, AFM, AI agents, collaboration, security), and the search data no longer carries an invented 4.8-star rating
Security(1)
- Team calendar events can only be seen and added by active team members, collaboration participants can only be added by an active owner or admin, and the shared funding-opportunity catalog can no longer be edited or deleted by any user (server-side, already live)
